HOW TO USE FIREARM FROSTING™

Simple Application. Reliable Performance.

Firearm Frosting™ is designed to provide stable, long-lasting lubrication across a wide range of firearms and operating conditions. Unlike traditional gun oils that can run, evaporate, or burn off quickly, Firearm Frosting stays where it is applied and continues protecting critical surfaces.

Using it is simple. Apply a small amount to the areas where metal parts move against each other, spread it evenly, and run the system.

A little goes a long way.

GENERAL APPLICATION TIPS

Start With a Clean Firearm

For best performance, begin with a clean firearm. Remove old oils, residue, and fouling from contact surfaces before applying fresh lubricant.

Use a Small Amount

Firearm Frosting is designed to stay in place and maintain coverage. A thin layer is typically all that is needed. Applying too much is unnecessary.

Focus on Contact Surfaces

Apply the lubricant where metal parts slide, rotate, or bear load against one another. These areas benefit the most from consistent lubrication. If you see signs of wear, put some there.

Spread Evenly

Use a finger, brush, or tool to spread a thin, even film across the contact surface.

Reapply As Needed

Firearm Frosting is designed to last longer than many traditional gun oils, but lubrication should still be inspected and refreshed during regular maintenance.

WHERE TO APPLY

While every firearm design is different, the following areas commonly benefit from lubrication.

Slide Rails

Apply a thin layer along slide rails or frame rails where metal surfaces move against each other.

Bolt Carrier Rails

For AR-style rifles and similar systems, apply to the carrier rails and other sliding surfaces inside the receiver.

Cam Pin

A small amount on the cam pin can help ensure smooth operation under load.

Locking Lugs

Apply lightly to locking lugs or similar engagement surfaces where components lock and unlock during firing.

Contact Points in the Trigger System

Small amounts can be used on metal-to-metal contact points in trigger components where appropriate.

Always follow manufacturer guidance for your specific firearm platform.

CHOOSING YOUR FROSTING

Firearm Frosting™ is designed as a three-formula system, allowing shooters to select the viscosity that best fits their firearm and operating conditions.

Dragon Fruit Drip

Ideal for precision components and lighter actions where smooth movement and controlled lubrication are important.

Common uses include:

  • precision firearms
  • tight tolerance actions
  • smaller moving components

Key Lime Glide

The general-purpose formula designed for everyday firearm lubrication across a wide range of platforms.

Common uses include:

  • pistols
  • rifles
  • general firearm maintenance

Blueberry Barrier

Designed for higher load and higher heat conditions where additional staying power is beneficial.

Common uses include:

  • high round count rifles
  • suppressed fire
  • heavy sliding components
  • demanding operating conditions

USING MULTIPLE FORMULAS

Many shooters prefer to use different formulas in different areas of the firearm depending on the load and movement of the parts involved.

Examples:

Precision Rifle

-Dragon Fruit Drip on tight fit components
-Key Lime Glide on primary sliding surfaces

AR-Style Rifle

-Key Lime Glide on carrier rails
-Blueberry Barrier on high load contact points

General Pistol Use

-Key Lime Glide for most applications

Because the formulas are designed as part of the same system, they can be used together as needed.

COMMON MISTAKES

Using Way Too Much

You can apply it liberally but a real heavy coating is unnecessary. A nice even layer is usually all that is required.

Applying to Dirty Parts

Lubricant performs best when applied to clean surfaces.

Treating It Like Traditional Oil

Firearm Frosting behaves differently from many liquid oils. Because it stays where applied, it does not need to be reapplied as frequently.

RUN THE SYSTEM

Firearm Frosting™ was designed to provide reliable lubrication across different firearms, conditions, and shooting styles.

Three formulas. One system.

Apply where needed, choose the formula that fits the task, and keep your firearm running smoothly.
